For Thanksgiving Sunday, the Crossroads community worshipped in a special “all ages” format. There was no sermon, but we shared a reading from Deuteronomy 8:7-18, and then Gabrielle introduced a time of sharing by some of our families with children & youth.
We were treated to a time of live and pre-recorded (video) sharing of the things that our families are thankful for. Even in this time of living with the distancing the pandemic necessitates, we can give thanks to God, who is the source of all good gifts.
Listen to this recording, which includes the Deuteronomy text as shared by Rev. Cari, then Gabrielle introducing the various families who shared with us live and by video. The voices of the children offer precious testimony!
At the close of the service, Rev. Cari invited us to do as our text for today invites. We step into a new week remembering that we are not the source of our own abundance, and looking for opportunities to recognize God’s generosity at work in our lives.
