Guest preacher Julio Cochoy shares his message of peace and hope with Crossroads’ congregation. He begins with the story of his childhood in traditional Mayan culture in the mountains of Guatemala, and the strong family connections of his early life. His awareness of the war and violence of his country breaks into his story at age 14. He explains the impact of that violence on his heart, so that we can understand his true message of his recovery from being filled with hatred, to recovering his compassion and finally forgiving the perpetrators. This is a long message, but well worth your time to listen… and if you are a survivor of trauma, please reach out and seek help as Julio did.
