Crossroads members Val Windsor, Major (ret’d) the Rev. Jim Short and Gail Martin, who have all devoted time and life-energy into community service over many years, were all honoured with receiving this medal this fall. Val received her medal in North Delta from MLA Ravi Kahlon in September (see the story below), and both Jim and Gail were presented with their medals on December 14 by MP Carla Qualtrough. (Just a month earlier, Gail had also been awarded the prestigious Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow award, a very big deal for a person who is not a member of Rotary International.)
The King Charles III Coronation Medals were presented to Canadians from all walks of life across the nation, who exemplify service, generosity and leadership. We are honoured to have three recipients in our community of faith and we celebrate their lives of generous leadership!
