Rev. Cari preached, for the first Sunday in our Stewardship season, on Luke 18:1-8. This is a story that is not (at first glance) really about stewardship.

In fact it seems to be about a lot of thing: persisting in prayer, not losing heart, persisting in seeking after justice, and even, by the end, persisting in faith.

Since there’s a lot going on in our world that might cause one to lose heart, it’s a good text for now. Since there’s something to be said for persistence, even though our default is trust in God’s grace, it’s a good text for now.
