This morning (the third Sunday in the season of Lent) we combined our worship service with our Annual Congregational Meeting. The texts we hosted from Scripture formed the basis for reflection in small groups by the congregation, at the request of the Policy Board. So the recording you will hear today, contains the reading of the two Scripture texts: Jeremiah 6:14-17 and Matthew 11:16-19, and the invitation from Pam Shaw to respond to the questions posed.
Congregational members were invited to send their reflections in to the church office for the Policy Board to contemplate as they continue to discern the deeper call God to Crossroads United Church. Those questions were:
- What am I learning about myself that I might not have learned except for the pandemic?
- What are we learning about Crossroads during this time that we didn’t expect to learn?
- In Jeremiah God raised up sentinels and said, “Pay heed!” Whose voices are the sentinels now that we might not be hearing of heeding?
