For the third Sunday in Lent, Rev. Cari preached on the story of Jesus turning the tables in the Temple, as found in John 2:13-22. As she explains, this is not your typical version of the turning of the tables, as found in the Synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark & Luke).

Eventually, we land on Jesus as the Temple, or the “house of prayer” and Cari begins to open up the “breathing” action of the body of Christ… as we gather and disperse for ministry.

The sermon closes with an invitation to the congregation to write a prayer (for our Lenten prayer path) for a someone or a something in our daily lives where we are longing to see God at work.
