Craig is very excited to be joining with Crossroads United for the Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2017 as a theological student and candidate for ministry. Craig is completing his final year of the Master of Divinity degree at Vancouver School of Theology and his role at Crossroads is intended to fulfil the field education requirements of his program. Craig grew up nearby in White Rock/South Surrey and was raised Christian in another denomination. He became attracted to the United Church because of its commitment to inclusivity and justice. He is particularly excited to be present to witness Crossroads becoming an Affirming Ministry. Craig completed an undergraduate degree in religious studies from UBC in 2003.
Craig is passionate about church renewal and assisted a number of church plants during his university years. Applying this experience to the United Church, he became involved with two different church renewal projects with different United Church congregations in New Westminster and Surrey. Craig has spent the past 6 years as a member at Bethany-Newton United Church, one of Crossroads’ neighbouring congregations. In the fall of 2015 Craig was honoured to be selected as one of 22 members of a special delegation to our United Church partners in China, and upon returning to Canada has been developing a passion for inter-cultural ministry in the United Church.
Craig is excited to continue his journey in faith and leadership at Crossroads United and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your faith and passion for ministry in North Delta. When Craig is not at church or at school he works in landscape maintenance and in his free time enjoys music, reading and watching movies at home in Surrey.
