Desiring and Celebrating God’s Presence

Desiring and Celebrating God’s Presence

Categories:

Crossroads welcomed Craig Perry back to the virtual pulpit today for the service on the 20th Sunday after Pentecost. Craig’s text was Exodus 33:12-23, a text which he identifies is noted for featuring the “backside of God.”

But in his sermon, he shows how fruitful it is for our reflection in this time of pandemic, as our usual ways of seeking and finding God’s presence together are denied us. He also offers a word of encouragement and comfort, that our desire for God’s presence – even in new ways – is still what will sustain us in the “wilderness” of this time.

If you are feeling a bit lost or abandoned during this time, listen to Craig’s sermon and take heart. God is still with you.
