Rev. Cari Copeman-Haynes is on sabbatical from May 21 to August 29, 2018.
After she is released from Crossroads’ ministry leadership at the end of worship on Sunday, May 20, Rev. Cari will spend until June 3 preparing for (and then presiding over) the General Meeting of BC Conference in Penticton, BC. During June, she will make a personal retreat to Rivendell Retreat Centre on Bowen Island, sleep, rest, exercise, pray and read. In July she has enrolled in two courses at Vancouver School of Theology and will continue her reading in Reformed Theology (a topic she neglected in her M.Div.). She and Rob have a bike trip in the Gulf Islands planned and she also hopes to make a trip east to visit her sister and family in Nova Scotia.
Rev. Cari is grateful for the support of the congregation over the past nine years of Crossroads’ life, as she engages in this time of rest and spiritual rejuvenation, and looks forward to returning to Crossroads for her first Sunday back on September 2, 2018.
