Lydia Returns to Crossroads

Lydia Ruenzel

After spending the summer leading worship at Crossroads while Rev. Cari was on sabbatical, Lydia Ruenzel decided that Crossroads would be a rich learning environment for her third-year field education placement. So, she’ll be back in our midst as our resident theological student from September 23, 2018 until April 2019. Rev. Cari will offer supervision as Lydia participates in the ministry leadership of the congregation according to her own learning goals. Expect to see Lydia at meetings, offering pastoral care, and of course, participating in worship leadership.

Welcome back, Lydia and Derek!

Lydia is a currently a third-year M.Div. student at the Vancouver School of Theology and a Candidate for ministry within the United Church of Canada. She grew-up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the Congregational Church and moved to Vancouver in 2009 to attend UBC. Lydia now lives in Port Moody with her husband, Derek. In her free time, she loves to bake bread, listen to the oldies, and spend time with family and friends.
