This week Rev. Cari does it again… she’s preaching on two texts: Acts 10:44-48 and John 15:9-17. The sermon is an exploration of the work of the Holy Spirit in creating communities of openness to God that bridge difference and deepen community. She revisits Crossroads’ purpose statement with the congregation, then explores both texts, eventually inviting the congregation to ponder a time when joy rose up inside them.
If you would like to ponder this invitation further, here are her wondering questions related to joy:
How was I present in that moment? How did I show up?
How was I open to what God wanted me to receive?
What difference, if any, was bridged in that moment?
And how did I (or do I) feel led to respond?
She would love to hear from you about your experience of joy, and of practicing being attentive to God’s invitation.
