This morning’s sermon focussed on power… but not the kind of power that we’re used to, the power to dominate and control. The text was Luke 23:33-43, the story of the crucifixion of Jesus, and this power – the power to serve and save – was on full display.
Rev. Cari chose to begin the sermon by recounting the events of the previous Sunday at Crossroads. During worship, the community learned new actions for a song we’ve been singing for a very long time. And we did that in response to this story, shared by the Rev. Therese Samuel.
What does this have to do with Jesus’ reign and power? Well, you’ll just have to listen to the sermon to find out!
