In the Farewell Discourses (14-17) the Gospel Writer John says that the Holy Spirit of Truth. This is Trinity Sunday, so we explore the mystery of the Trinity and also reflect on what truth is in a post truth world. With alternate facts, conspiracy theories and truth determined by how one feels or their personnel experiences we look two methods of discerning truth. First how would one understand the truth on issues in our modern world from a Christian perspective using the Wesley quadrilateral from the Methodist tradition. Secondly using the SIFT method to determine whether what you are seeing and hearing about certain 21st century issues is truth or lie.
