For the second Sunday in the season of Lent, Rev. Cari preached on an ancient text, the story of Abram (and Sarai’s) covenant with the Holy One from Genesis 15.

As she mentions at the start, there is a part of her that wonders just “what to do” with a text like this one that is so very alien to our modern life. However, as she discovers, maybe that is its gift to us, to lift us out of our typical ways of thinking and being, into the realm of grace.

This Sunday was Rev. Cari’s last Sunday as the full-time Lead Minister of Crossroads United Church, and at the end of this particular service, she participated with the Rev. Jim Short in a covenant for a transitional period of ministry at Crossroads.
