Seasonal Prayer
Praying Through Advent – Download
Thanks to a group of Ignatian Spiritual Directors who have provided these texts for reflecting in prayer with during the season of preparation for the Mystery of Christmas. Prepare to read reflectively, for “formation” rather than “information.” First get settled in your body by taking a few deep breaths, or by doing a body scan. Then ask for the grace you need to attend to God’s Word in this way and then read the text slowly, listening to what particularly speaks to you. Spend 15 to 20 minutes in this contemplation, then turn to your journal to record any reflections in word or in artistic form.
